How to convert pascals to atmospheres
Formula: atm = Pa × 0.00000986923
Worked example: 101,325 Pa → 101,325 × 0.00000986923 = 1 atm

What is a pascal?
The pascal is the SI unit of pressure, one newton per square meter. It is a very small unit: the air around us presses at about 101,325 Pa, so multiples such as the hectopascal, kilopascal and megapascal are used in practice.
What is an atmosphere?
The standard atmosphere is defined as exactly 101,325 pascals, the average air pressure at sea level. Divers count roughly one extra atmosphere for every 10 meters, or 33 feet, of seawater.
